Positano is a charming town on the Amalfi coast, located in southern Italy. It is a very popular tourist destination with pebble beaches and narrow, steep streets filled with shops and cafes. The Church of Santa Maria Assunta has a majolica dome and a 13th-century Byzantine icon of the Virgin Mary. The hiking trail called “Sentiero degli Dei” connects Positano to the other coastal towns.
